iPhone. A Comparison.

Hey,

Well this is a reply to a comment made earlier on how the iPhone compares to other mobile devices at the moment. So i will see what i can do for you.

Ok, so the iPhone. Looks amazing. No point denying it, its one of the most attractive handsets available on the market at the moment. Its a comfortable fit to hold, and feels very sturdy. Its also well balanced *one end isnt heavier than the other*. The only downside from a hardware point of view is the fact that it doesnt have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you cant use any set of standard headphones. However the headphones provided are bearable,
and come with a built in mic so thats the handsfree taken care of.

The display on the iPhone is one of the best so far. It has a 3.5inch screen, which is also excellent outside, as you can still see what is on the screen, unlike some handsets which you have to shield from the sun. However..it does pick up finger prints amazingly well..and this can get fairly annoying..

The camera is another point i would like to raise. Ok so its only 1.3 megapixels...and yes there are much better cameras out there (Nokias 5MP on the N95) so its a bit of a let down..but..to be honest..if i wanted to take alot of photos i would invest in a digital camera..

Its a fast phone to operate as well, what i mean by this is unlike windows mobile or Blackberry's you dont have to wait 5 seconds to load your text messages, or photos. It has a very easy interface to get around. Unlike the Blackberry which is just a mass of folders and icons can take a bit of time to get your head around.

The keyboard on the iPhone is well..very impressive. It takes a little while to get used to the qwerty keyboard, but its extremely easy to get the hang off. The keys are
large, and i prefer it to having a normal phone keyboard. I mean if its what your used to go for it, but try the iPhone keyboard in an Apple store (Or 02 store in the UK) before you decide :P. Oh and the inbuilt dictionary is really helpful, compared to Blackberrys predictive text, which just throws up the most random crap sometimes.

Another great feature on the iPhone is the iPod. Its so much better than Blackberry's music system, its alot faster, cleaner looking, and having the ability to search using coverflow is amazing. The video quality is one of the best i have seen when watching movies. It puts the Blackberry to shame.

Personally, check both phones out before you buy, i can only review so much at the end of the day its what you like and what your needs are!

Not really sure what to write anymore.. um, i am sure i will find more stuff but i think this is probably enough for now..

Adam.

Rick Roll.

Hey Guys,

First ever post. Piece of history. I've been told to make it good, but i can't promise anything...

News

Well recently i got the dreaded ring of death on my xbox. This is the first time a console has ever died on me, and isn't pleasant. Luckily, a donation of a GameCube has satisfied my gaming needs more than i can have imagined! With just one game i've forgotten about all the joy of my beloved 360. That game is Super Smash Brothers Melee. This is possibly the most fun i've ever had playing a video game, and also the longest i've ever spent on one game. I've been doing 3 or 4 hour stints of just non stop playing and its been fucking awesome.

Unfortunately though, this means i now badly want a Wii *Insert toilet humor here*. If not only for the next Super Smash Brothers, however this would mean that one game would cost about £220. Not a great return eh?

Other things that have happened recently is the finding of Jeff Gertsmann and Ryan Davis's new blog. If you didn't know Jeff got fired from Gamespot for supposedly giving a bad review of a game. This led to a whole load of other people leaving including another founding member Ryan Davis. Well luckily they are back once again like a renegade master, (Sorry couldn't resist). So they have a new review site called Giantbomb.com. They've also released a few podcasts based quite loosely around video games, as they seem to talk about drinks more than anything. I would highly recommend checking it out if you want to loose yourself in some drinks and game reviews, as well as an hour and a half's worth of comedy gold.

So thats all for now, i have to say that was fucking easy. :D

Laters, Bildo.
